What Our Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy covers any personal information that The Body Lounge obtains from you when you use our site. This policy does not cover the practices of companies that The Body Lounge does not own or control, or the actions of people that The Body Lounge does not employ or manage. Our Privacy Policy is subject to change. By using this site, you agree to the terms of our policy.

When Personal Information Is Collected

The Body Lounge will ask you for information, including some personal information, when you elect to purchase our products.

Making A Purchase

When you buy something on our site, you have to supply a billing address, phone number, shipping address, and credit card information (via the secure Paypal website). By making a purchase, you become a registered user of The Body Lounge. You can access this section using your registration password. How The Body Lounge Protects Your Information We realize that our customers trust us to protect their personal information. We take that task seriously. All information collected through this site will be kept confidential. It will not be sold, rented, traded, loaned, or otherwise disclosed to any other party unless we receive your explicit consent. We process your credit card orders through Paypal, a Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) authentication site to guarantee the confidentiality of online transactions made on our site. SSL authentication and encryption of the information that you send to us over the Internet helps protect your online transaction information from third party interception. We urge you to protect your own privacy. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone or share your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail. We maintain our web site and associated data with technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect against loss of data or unauthorized access to or use of data. However, as with any Internet technology, no data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Unfortunately, despite all of our efforts, there is always a risk that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmissions. This reality is true of all Internet use. As a result, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit, and you transmit all information at your own risk.

How to Avoid Receiving Newsletters and Other Body Lounge Materials

We use e-mail addresses to send out newsletters and other announcements with information about our new products, gifts and special features. When you register, you can choose not to receive these announcements by opting-out of delivery. If you receive an e-mail and want to avoid further messages, look at the end of the e-mail for instructions on how to remove yourself from the mailing list.

Who Views Your Personal Information

Any personal information you provide will be used only in ways to which you have consented. If you contact us to place an order, we will use your information to fulfill your order and contact you about the order. This information may be shared with third parties, but only for purposes of order fulfillment, such as credit card processing or shipping information. Some personal information is stored on servers owned by other companies. Only The Body Lounge has the right to access this information. Personal information may be disclosed if required by law.

Children Under 13

You can look at our site, but you cannot make a purchase. You also cannot become a registered user, or use any service that asks for personal information. Our site is not designed for children. We do not wish to collect personal information from children under 13. This policy is designed to protect children. If you register with us and we discover that you are under 13, we will delete your registration. We will send you a message if we do this. If you are under 13 and want to make a purchase, please ask a parent to place the order for you.

Return Policy

If there is a problem with your order, please observe our return policy: Returns must occur within 7 days of your shipment receipt for all items. Because of hygienic safety we cannot accept returns of opened products. The products must be unused and in their original sealed condition. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee unless it is an item that we mis-shipped or the item was damaged. We will replace items that were damaged in shipping; however, those items must be returned so that we can make a claim to the carrier. We cannot be held responsible for shipping delays with the carrier and cannot reimburse for shipping expenses unless it was our fault. Only Credit will be applied to your Account, not your credit card, for all returns minus the restocking fee. We do not issue refunds, again unless it was our fault. Credit Card Policy We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal. Check Policy All Personal Checks must clear before product is shipped. All returned checks will be charged a $30.00 administrative fee.

Shipping & Lead Times

We ship free for orders over $75 in the continental US. International orders will receive a $10 credit towards shipping and pay the remaining cost when ordering over $75.00. Orders under $75 will be charged the full cost of shipping for domestic and international parcels. It usually takes 2-5 business days from the receipt of your order until shipment. Occasionally, we do run out of some of the products on our list. We will do our best to expedite your order but it may take a couple extra days until the out of stock item is back on our shelves to deliver your shipment to you. We ship via USPS Priority Mail and UPS. In most cases this means 2-3 days shipping time. We reuse and recycle packaging and shipping materials whenever possible to keep our prices competitive and conserve natural resources.

Ingredients Policy

Because many of our products contain only natural preservatives (Vitamin E, Raw Honey, Essential Oils, Neem, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Rosemary Extract or Wheat Germ Oil) and are made fresh in small batches, please be advised, most of our creams and lotions have a shelf life of 8 - 12 months. Please refrigerate any unused lotions or creams after 3 months. Because of the nature of our products, some natural separation may occur. Stir or shake product before each use.

 

DISCLAIMER: While we strongly believe in the amazing therapeutic powers of all-natural products, we also recognize that some individuals may experience a reaction to even the purest natural ingredients. Please test all skin products before using. Apply a small amount to the skin on your inner arm. Do not use if redness or irritation occurs. Although plants are natural, it does not guarantee that they won’t cause allergies, irritation, or harm. If you do experience any irritation such as redness, burning, or itching we recommend that you discontinue use of the product immediately.
